Christmas week at OSELC
Our Saviour’s is celebrating the Saviour’s birth this week with services and activities to mark the Christmas season.
On Wednesday, Dec. 21, OSELC will observe a “Blue Christmas” ceremony with other churches to provide encouragement for those who have experienced loss or discouragement. The service is at 6 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Chapel, 327 E. Edison Ave.
On Saturday, Dec. 24, Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will host a Christmas Eve candlelight ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 24 also marks the deadline to drop off new or gently used socks that will be donated to homeless adults and children in Yakima County.
The week culminates with an exumenical Christmas Day service on Sunday, Dec. 25, at 9:30 a.m. at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 737 S. 16th St.
All events are open to the public and all are welcome!
Tasty Sunday
This Sunday, July 13, will offer plenty to whet the appetite. During worship service we’ll feast on the encouragement of classic songs with an Old Fashioned Hymn Sing. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a BBQ with OSELC providing the hamburgers, hotdogs and buns. A $5 donation is requested for the BBQ, which is part of our Budget Busters program.
So, come join us as together we feed body and soull!
