Super Sunday
A blessing is offered during installation of the 2014 congregational council.
No, the title is not about the Super Bowl coming up this Sunday, but about what was indeed a special, super Sunday on Jan. 26 when Our Saviours Lutheran Church honored its 2013 congregational council and installed the 2014 council.
Serving on the 2014 council are President Terri Kennedy, Vice President Carolyn Knee, Exec. Secretary Karen Stephas, Laurie Wavrin, Financial Secretary Darlene Anderson, Willard Mears, Andrew Myers, Dan Myers, Tammie Carr, Mike Shuttleworth and Amanda Myers.
The church also honored council members whose terms ended in 2013: Cathy Mears, Debbie Mendoza, Pastor Katrina Walther and Bill Wavrin.
Thanks to all those who serve and God bless you in 2014!
Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
A new year is bringing new opportunities for fellowship at OSELC!
On Sunday, Jan. 26, we will share in a potluck after the 10 a.m. worship service. The time will also be an opportunity for the church’s business meeting.
Also coming up on Jan 26 is our monthly contemporary worship service that starts at 6:30 p.m. It will be an opportunity to worship in the evening together while celebrating with contemporary praise music.
Pastor Katrina Walther will lead the OSELC congretation in two worship services on Sunday, Jan. 26
Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
During this Christmas season we are celebrating the Saviour’s birth with activities throughout the month of December.
Besides our Sunday worship services at 10 a.m. We’ll meet on Wednesday nights, Dec. 4, 11, 18 for Advent Suppers. The suppers will start at 6 p.m., followed by a brief prayer service at 7 p.m.
Our Saviour’s is also celebrating a season of fellowship by distributing cookies during the 25th annual Sunnyside Lighted Farm Impelement Parade at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 7.
Also coming up:
– Family game night at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21
– Contemporary worship service at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22

OSELC Sunnyside
